  • Anette Olzon – Shine

Recommended: Lies.

Anette Olzon (ex-Nightwish) finally followed her own path with debut album “Shine”, an uplifting and easy stroll into cool Symphonic / Folk Rock lands. With a total playing time of 35 minutes, “Shine” does exactly what it’s supposed to do – provide a good mood and entertain without being overly technical.

For fans of: Nightwish.

  • Grey Skies Fallen – The Many Sides of Truth

Recommended: Of the Ancients.

Grey Skies Fallen have this unique blend of growls/clean vocals with a hard to get mix of Prog / Doom / Death / Black Metal – trust me, not exaggerating here. This is pretty much one of the best albums of 2014 so far.

For fans of: Dark Prog Metal.
