Cannibal Corpse performed on the movie Ace Ventura Pet Detective. In the t.v. version JimCarrey actually gets up on the stage with the band and sings. It is a completely different version when you buy the video.

Steve Vai replaced Yngwie Malmsteen in Alcatrazz for the band’s 2nd album. Yngwie departed for Steeler and Vai stepped into his shoes for one album. He stay was short also, he left after one release.

Pantera released their first album in 1983. Everyone knows Pantera was one of the 90’s most exciting metal acts, but they actually got their start back in 1983. They didn’t hit it big until 1990 and the addition of singer Phil Anselmo.

Lenny Wolf played with Stone Fury, then he formed Kingdom Come and landed the opening spot on the Monsters of Rock tour. Stone Fury featured Wolf and axeman Bruce Gowdy. They released two albums before breaking up.

John Bush, Anthrax lead singer was the front man of Armored Saint in the 80’s and again in 2000. Bush released 5 albums with Armored Saint before switching coasts. He returned for the 2000 album for old time’s sake.

Brownsville Station originally released ‘Smoking In the Boys Room’ in 1972. Then it was covered by Motley Crue in 1985.

Mark St. John replaced Vinne Vincent for Kiss’ ‘Animalize’ album. Mark lasted only one album, he was replaced on the ‘Animalize’ tour by Kulick.

Bruce Dickinson was the front man of the Samson band. Dickinson sang lead on 3 Samson releases before leaving for the greener pastures of Iron Maiden. (see next picture, Bruce on the left)

Anthrax performed Looking Down the Barrel of a Gun on the “Beavis and Butthead” soundtrack.

Neil Turbin was the lead singer of Anthrax’ 1st album ‘Fistful of Metal’. Neil belted out hits like ‘Metal Thrashing Mad’ before being shown the door, paving the way for Joey Belladonna.

Dio, Gillan, Hughes, and Martin were the last names of the 4 lead singers for Black Sabbath in the 80’s. Black Sabbath tried many singers to replace the legendary Ozzy Osbourne, while fans continued to call for Ozzy’s return.
