- Rami Rouhana’s Top Releases of 2018
With many bands coming in and out of the international Rock / Metal scene, Riverside is one of the few band continuously evolving and shifting sound. From complex albums like “Anno Domini High Definition” to simpler structured albums that came after, the band maintained a progressive approach to music writing with well-thought lyrics and catchy melodies. Wasteland for me was the most listened album this year. Hacken’s proggier and more complex Vector would be the second contender but it leaves you with a very different feel. The bonus mentioned EP by Mike Shinoda is dedicated to Chester Bennington after his suicide; as the leading vocals on Linkin Park albums that many of us grew up with, and even got introduced to the taste of Metal through.
