• Seven years after the release of their first demo, Lebanese groundbreaking extreme metal band Kaoteon finally released their long awaited album, “Veni Vidi Vomui”. The latter was recorded at Mixdown Studios -Beirut and mastered in Sweden at Unisound Studios by Dan Swano, notably known for his work with Bloodbath, Opeth, Katatonia, Diabolical Masquerade, Edge of Sanity, Battlelore, November’s Doom, etc.

Veni Vidi Vomui

  • The band held an album release gathering on April 24th 2011 at Cheers Pub – Broumana. The place was well crowded and one could feel the true metal spirit that hasn’t been around for a while. Walid Wolflust, Kaoteon’s vocalist/growler, was playing extreme metal favorites that helped shape Kaoteon’s album through the years.

Fans

  • Veni Vidi Vomui was highly praised as one of the best extreme metal albums released in the months that passed. International webzines described it as an album containing “serious neck-breaker inserts, an aggressive and loaded atmosphere, and a spirit of destruction” (from Metal.de). Karl Sanders from Nile said: “This is fucking Killer!”.

  • Hopefully, “Veni Vidi Vomui” will propel the band to a higher international level and reward them for being one of the longest consistent acts in the Lebanese scene.

After a lot of drama about the scene’s transitional descent, I say that these next few years are going to be the most essential times in the Lebanese Metal Scene so you better expect important releases, major events and most certainly Lebanese bands in the world’s most renown festivals!

  • LebMetal will be selling Kaoteon’s “Veni Vidi Vomui” at the GBOB heats along releases from Kimaera, The Hourglass and more.
